This attitude is honestly emblematic of the Greens we knew before a year ago, just completely strategically inept.

AOC describing the American Revolution as part of the lineage of her political project is maybe the most profound victory anti-wokeness has or could ever see but of course rightoids are too braindead to even recognize that.

@TheGreeneBJ I think you can disagree with Natalie without imagining that she's a "non ideological doomer." I mean she very clearly takes seriously the threat of Trump's tyranny, and takes this to be such an overwhelming priority that other political considerations play second fiddle. 1/2

I'd like to use this opportunity to boast though that I called Labour falling apart 2 years in from the beginning

@UranianOctober Well previously he's had more backbone than Corbyn which made it seem like we had learned, and the two apologies alone shouldn't account for that big a drop. It's really down to how effective the overall smear campaign is, which is out of our (direct) hands.

@muke10101 If that happens they'll deserve it bc they're capitulating to the smears rather than fighting them (outside of dumb twitter clapback stuff). In general Polanskism is already a setback bc its just Corbynism divorced from even the pretense of a link to the organised working class

Cant lie I'm actually pretty concerned over the local elections because they're basically a test of how much power british media still has over people. If Greens actually fall short of where they were only a couple weeks ago it'll confirm we haven't made any progress in 7 years.

So this is really a test of the broader public conscience. I wanna be optimistic.

I had been thinking the anti-zionist movements had put us in a better spot, and maybe for a time they had, but it seems they've been quiet long enough for the media apparatus to pretend they never happened again now.

@muke10101 Basically people snuggled a bunch of western music and stuff into USSR and at one point it's popularity lead to emergence of a sort of a hippie facsimile counterculture. The reason the dude has a cross is because Christianity was counter-cultural and there was cross-pollination.
