Free and fair elections in Bangladesh sometimes feel like an arcane issue, but look at this video. This shows a polling agent of a candidate for the governing Awami League party, who was contesting a recent parliamentary by-election earlier this month in a constituency in Laxmipur. He can be seen here stamping repeatedly on the boat symbol for Awmai League, effectively casting fake votes for the party. This is how vote rigging takes place in Bangladesh. You stuff fake votes like this into the ballot box, as happened in the last 2018 national election ... Usually this ocurs behind clothes doors! This is of course why the opposition parties are reluctant to take part in the upcoming national elections unless there is significant changes in the administration of the election.
