There is a troubling new brand of politics taking root in the Mountain. Intimidation, threats and fear.
Last night, I had to help evacuate TWENTY UDA mobilizers from Rurii, Ol Kalou. They were so shaken that their only request was to spend the night at a police station, believing it was the only place they would be safe.
I have since arranged and paid for hotel accommodation for them, where they remain as they await calm.
This is not who we are.
No Kenyan should live in fear because of their political beliefs. Democracy thrives on persuasion, not intimidation, on ideas, not threats.
I urge the Police Service to move swiftly against those instigating violence, issuing threats, or terrorizing fellow citizens.
The law must protect every Kenyan equally.
Elections should never turn neighbours into enemies. We can compete fiercely at the ballot, shake hands afterwards, and continue building our communities together.

We beat Jofri in other by-elections we embraced those who lost, why should anyone be chased because they disagreed and lost on the ballot?

The Chabahar Maritime Surveillance Tower — a civilian facility dedicated to maritime safety and navigation — was deliberately targeted by the United States on 16 June as part of its ongoing aggression that began on 28 February. The U.S. Secretary of War proudly released footage of the tower’s collapse.
Had he been able, he would likely have broadcast the lethal missile attack on the #Minab school and the massacre of civilians in #Lamerd with the same chilling pride.
Last night, the U.S also attacked power facilities and desalination pumps at the Bunji village pier in Jask, leaving more than 10,000 people without access to drinking water.
For a State that once cast itself as the global champion of order, liberalism, and the war on terrorism, proudly displaying images of destroyed bridges and civilian infrastructure has become its only remaining “victory.”
Yet with the collapse of every bridge, every tower, and every civilian facility, it is not merely steel and concrete that is being reduced to rubble. It is America’s moral standing — along with the entire architecture of international law and the civilizational claims of the West — that is crumbling before the world’s eyes.
The question that must now be asked of America and its allies is stark and simple: What is the real difference between what they have done in Chabahar, Minab, Lamerd, and Jask, and the very acts of terrorism they once invoked to justify their wars and occupations?

Joe Kent is wrong. Iran has every right to defend itself and fight back. There is no need to "hit them back" before leaving, the USA has already killed thousands of Iranians. Any sane person should question his logic here. Why is Joe Kent advocating an escalation?

After these strikes we need to leave — we hit back now it’s time to exit. Remove our troops/bases from the region to deprive Iran of targets, deescalate the war & transition to economic negotiations to open the SOH. Break the escalation cycle.

Ol Kalou by-election pitted two wannabe tribal kingpins one fronting patrimonial politics a.k.a “politics of the belly” and the other uthamaki (Kikuyu supremacist) ideology. Uthamaki won the battle. Both lost the war. Their political careers will end in August 2027.

This war was never worthy of American blood, it is certainly not worthy of any more American blood.

CENTCOM Statement on Recently Fallen, Missing U.S. Service Members TAMPA, Fla. — On July 17, two U.S. service members in Jordan were killed in action as U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and partner forces defended against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks. Additionally, one service member is currently missing. Four American service members were medically evacuated to Jordanian hospitals. They have since been discharged. Other personnel who were evaluated for minor injuries have returned to duty. Out of respect for the families, CENTCOM will withhold additional information, including the identities of the fallen warriors, until 24 hours after the next of kin have been notified.

🚨 IF IRAN’S WEAPONS ARE “DOWN 91%,” WHY IS IT STILL INFLICTING MAJOR DAMAGE ACROSS THE GULF?
Donald Trump says the United States has severely degraded Iran’s military capabilities.
But the developments on the ground tell a more complicated story.
Iran is still able to:
▪️ Launch missiles and drones across the region
▪️ Damage strategic power and water infrastructure in Kuwait
▪️ Threaten U.S. bases and regional allies
▪️ Disrupt commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz
▪️ Keep global oil markets under pressure
▪️ Force Washington to continue expanding its military campaign
The United States may have destroyed Iranian weapons, bases and logistics networks—but Iran has not been rendered incapable of retaliation.
That raises an important question:
How many more strikes, billions of taxpayer dollars and weeks of regional instability will it take before Washington admits that “degrading” Iran is not the same as defeating it?
Iran remains dangerous, the Strait remains disrupted and the war continues to expand.
That is not the picture of a military opponent that has been neutralized.
