Just like yesterday. I recall also mentioning that you should employ more hands and you said: where would the salaries come from? And I replied: don’t worry, just start with one and let’s see how it goes. Now look at you today? Employing 3-4 staff within a year and not a single month of default in paying their salaries. Now a whole Book to your name and many more still coming? Isn’t Allah wonderful? This is just the beginning and many more of this success to record. Congratulations to the entire team of Islamic Tales for Kids. 🧡♥️

Islamic Tales for Kids started as a dream I was afraid to pursue because I wasn’t sure I would succeed. I remember my husband encouraging me to start something of my own. He saw potential in me long before I saw it in myself. I asked him, “What if it isn’t successful?” and he almost knocked my head that day, saying, “Why would you say that?” Then came my birthday in April 2025. He gifted me ₦1 million, and I made a decision that day: I would use that money to build something meaningful. I bought a ring light, microphone, books, and other materials, and I revived my long-abandoned YouTube channel. When summer came, I decided to work directly with children, and Alhamdulillah, it went beyond my expectations. We had 22 children from different parts of the world learning together. Today, as I look at how far Islamic Tales for Kids has come, I can only say that it is by the mercy, favour, and grace of Allah. Every achievement, every milestone, every opportunity has come from Him. To my dear husband, thank you for believing in me when I doubted myself. Thank you for your encouragement, your support, and for never giving up on me. You always said, “You will be great; you just don’t know it yet.” May Allah bless everything that concerns you, increase you in goodness, grant you barakah in your wealth, health, and family, and enlarge your coast beyond your imagination. Ameen. To my dad, whom I miss dearly, thank you for believing in me too. Your words of encouragement remain with me till today. May Allah have mercy upon you, forgive your shortcomings, and grant you Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen. To my wonderful siblings and friends, thank you for always cheering me on, encouraging me, and reminding me that I could do it even when I doubted myself. Thank you for every message, every prayer, every share, every recommendation, and every act of support. May Allah bless you all abundantly, reward your kindness, ease your affairs, answer your prayers, and grant you success in this life and the next. May He fill your homes with barakah, happiness, and peace, and reunite us all in Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen. And to everyone who has supported me in ways I cannot even begin to mention, I say a heartfelt thank you. Your support, patronage, encouragement, prayers, and belief in me have all contributed to this journey. May Allah reward you beyond your expectations and make every kindness you have shown me a source of blessings for you and your loved ones. Ameen. Most importantly, I thank Allah, the One who made all of this possible. There were moments of fear, uncertainty, and self-doubt, but Allah never abandoned me. Never let go of the hand of Allah, no matter what life throws at you. Never give up. As long as you are alive, there is hope. I am not perfect, and I still have a long way to go, but today my heart is full of gratitude. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ’Alameen. May this be only the beginning of greater things to come for Islamic Tales for Kids, The Little Muslims Journal, and every dream Allah has placed in my heart. Ya Allah, accept it from me, bless it, and make it beneficial for generations to come. Ameen. #IslamicTalesForKids #TheLittleMuslimsJournal #Alhamdulillah #TrustAllah #NeverGiveUp #GratefulHeart #AllahIsTheBestOfPlanners #DreamsWithAllahBecomeReality

@egi_nupe For example, Ondo State... You rarely hear any good or bad about the state. Unless you visit, you won't know if the state is thriving or declining. Ondo State and its people tend to be on a lowkey.

There are some states in Nigeria that are neither in the news for anything bad or good. They are just there and their people don’t even make noise on social media. Those states are those states you wonder if anybody is actually from those states.

One metric I track religiously in our property development business is the ratio of direct cost to indirect cost. Direct costs: Costs spent directly on construction/project - land, cement, block, labour, iron, plank, furniture, paints, sands, etc Indirect costs: Costs that cannot be tied to a specific project - rent, salaries, general adverts, office expenses, business travels, motor vehicles, etc. My principle is, at least 80% of all inflows into the business must go into construction. We have averaged 87%. I see that many real estate companies spend a lot of their cash on branding and other non-project activities. Aside from salaries, any spend that is not directly related to project, I feel heavy to approve. We average 13%. Rising cost of building materials is enough battle to face, I wonder how some real companies spend a lot on branding and other non-project activities at the expense of block and cement!
