@moorehn I have wondered for a while what if any research is done on the pressure in cultures like Hollywood for (mostly) woman-presenting people to get lots of surgeries. I hesitate to ask people because it's none of my business, but I just worry for people under such pressure.

I have no problem with surgical interventions if people feel they could look better AS THEMSELVES, but there's something alarming about just creating a brand new person. Mainly I'm interested in how we can stop women from thinking that the only way to be a more confident, attractive version of themselves, they have to have themselves cut up and heavily tinted to look more like Kim Kardashian
