I have studied the entire National Educational Policy and know that it will bring transformational change in our educational system. Sadly, the Tamilnadu government refuses to implement the same. I stand with @annamalai_k and @BJP4TamilNadu on this issue.

@parthan75 I refer to the book 'Leadership Self Deception' by Arbinger Institute wherein they explain how we deceive ourselves by blaming everyone around us for our problems. When we take ownership and face reality as it is, we develop the vision and capabilities to resolve our problems.

BJP, on its own, is not crossing the majority mark. Hovering around 240 seats. NDA may still form the government with around 300 seats. It is a major setback for the BJP. BJP is winning the Odisha assembly elections and will form the government on its own for the first time.

TMC is still winning the majority of the seats in West Bengal. Maharashtra has been a sharp drop for NDA. UP has been a big shock for the BJP. Overall, the results are not to my expectations. But that's the way life is 😊

TDP+Jana Sena+BJP will form the government in Andhra Pradesh. Heading for a massive victory. In Tamilnadu & Puducherry, DMK+ is winning all the seats. BJP has marginally improved its vote share but nowhere near what they were hoping for. Long long way to go.

The last decade has witnessed a substantial improvement in the sanctity and credibility of the Union Budget, leaving past constraints and archaic practices behind. Guided by PM Shri @narendramodi’s vision of transparency, efficiency and effectiveness in governance, our government has reshaped the budget from a mere record of expenditures into a strategic blueprint for equitable development. Our budgets are characterized by fiscal prudence, transparency, and inclusiveness, ensuring investments in social development and infrastructure. We make judicious & efficient use of every rupee collected from our taxpayers and give them a transparent picture of public finances. Various historic decisions and reforms have been taken by our government to strengthen and bring transparency to the Budgetary process and practices. Advancement of Budget Cycle: - Since FY 2017-18, the budget presentation has been shifted to 1st February instead of the last working day in February. It effectively advanced the expenditure cycle by 2 months. Prior to this reform, the authorization from Parliament through ‘vote-on-account’ was available only for the first 2 months of financial year. - Now, the entire budgetary exercise, including the legislative process, is completed well before the start of the financial year. This has improved administrative efficiency and delivery of schemes as Ministries have the full budget available from the beginning of the financial year – 1 April. - This has also empowered the State governments, which used to present the Budget earlier than the Centre. States are now able to plan their own budgets better as they are now aware of details of the Centre’s fiscal plan for the upcoming year. This reform helps the state governments plan their project financing, counterpart funding, implementation of central projects, and borrowing requirements well in advance. - The advancement of the budget cycle aided the synchronisation of financial outlays and expenditures between the Centre and the States. Merger of Rail Budget with General Budget: - The presentation of a separate railway budget was a colonial practice that commenced in 1924. The practice continued more as a convention than for sound administrative reasons. - From FY 2017-18, our government merged the Railway Budget with the Union Budget to bring the affairs of the Railways to centre stage and present a holistic & transparent picture of the Union Government’s financial position. - Number of Demands for Grants operated by Railways has been reduced from 16 to one, and appropriation for Railways is part of the main Appropriation Bill. Plan and Non-Plan Classification of budget and accounts removed: - Since FY 2017-18, the distinction between Plan and Non-Plan classification in budget and accounts has been removed, and the emphasis has shifted to the overall financial allocation of schemes with bifurcation on revenue and capital expenditure. - Earlier, budgetary allocations were categorized as ‘Plan’ and ‘Non-Plan’ – where Plan referred to allocations on programmes and schemes, while Non-Plan denoted establishment items. This artificial distinction created a distortion in the perception of the two types of allocations. - Plan was considered ‘good’ and often referred to as Developmental expenditure, while Non-plan was considered ‘bad’ and wrongly signified ‘non-developmental outlays’. - This distinction and perception were incorrect as there was a reluctance to allocate for ‘non-plan expenditure’, which comprised items such as maintenance of the defence systems, social security-related allocation (pension and insurance), various welfare measures and subsidies for the poor and underprivileged, etc. These couldn’t be termed as “non-developmental” while allocating resources. @narendramodi @Bhupendrapbjp Sir, such avoidable tragedies are happening too frequently in Gujarat due to the indifference of the administration. Innocent lives were lost. Severe punishment to be meted out to those who were required to verify safety aspects of such public places before giving permission.

The fire tragedy in Rajkot has saddened us all. In my telephone conversation with him a short while ago, Gujarat CM Bhupendrabhai Patel Ji told me about the efforts underway to ensure all possible assistance is provided to those who have been affected. @Bhupendrapbjp

Finally, a credible alternative has emerged in Tamilnadu. No. of seats & vote share gained in this Parliamentary elections will ensure realignment of political forces and will enable corruption-free, development focused government to bloom in 2026. Vote keeping this in mind 🙏

This is one of the reasons why I respect & support the BJP. Whatever little I know of Mr. Dilip Ghosh, he doesn't seem to fit in with the ethos of the BJP. The party needs to take stern action against him to send across the message that such utterances will not be tolerated.

If Tamizh people were under the mistaken impression that @tvkvijayhq will bring about a welcome alternative to Dravidian politics, sadly, it is not to be so. He has exposed his lack of understanding of this law and has just toed the opposition line. So, @annamalai_k it is...

Happy to note that Mr. Narasimha Rao will be honoured with the Bharat Ratna. Apart from Mr. L K Advani, he is the other person that I respect a lot for the contribution he made for our country 🙏

I am happy to know this... He totally deserves this... Truly a Bharat Ratna 🙏
