Cape Kidnappers 2004 - Tom Doak #55 in the World Top 100 Public: $500 USD The bluebird days keep coming! An absolutely perfect day at this incredible property. Truly one of the most spectacular places you could be, whether just for golf or just to see the unbelievable views. Tom Doak was tasked with finding a golf course on a challenging piece of land and he worked wonders. The course is spectacular. The front 9 heads away from the water for some super fun golf holes. The fairways are wide and greens generous, but the land movement is severe. Then you move towards the ocean and the course takes flight. Hole after hole your jaw drops as you see more incredible views. More importantly, the holes are varied and provide plenty of risk reward play. I had heard some mixed reviews on the course, but it seems to be mostly driven by the aerial pictures of the “fingers”, so people expected crazy cliffs everywhere. But the GCA is wonderful and so fun, and the views are amongst the best anywhere’s The turf is tier 💯. It was so firm and fast and also just absolutely perfect. Some of the best turf I’ve played. Cape Kidnappers is a must see, add it to your bucket list. It’s a 1 of 1.
