A female support worker shared a bed with a schoolboy and sent him sexual photos of her wearing just a towel. Chloe Short, 28, was employed to help the 15-year-old’s family when she filmed herself sharing a “sexual” kiss with the teen. She had been paid to stay overnight at the family address to give the boy’s family some respite. But a fit to practice panel was told she behaved in a “in a wholly inappropriate manner”. One picture Short sent the underage boy showed her in a towel after getting out of the shower. Another image showed the pair laying in bed together while the boy’s top was off as they shared a “short sexualised kiss”. Short later messaged him, saying: “Thank you for the cuddles. Had a lush sleep with you.” She also told him she “missed him every second” and was “obsessed with him”. The hearing was told Short was working for an organisation that provided support for families and children. She was assigned to support the vulnerable 15-year-old boy and carried out a series of home visits as a result of her role. Short’s crimes were exposed when her girlfriend became suspicious about her behaviour and looked through her phone. She was previously handed a ten month suspended prison sentence after admitting sexual activity with a child. During her sentencing hearing, a judge told Short her behaviour had been “very inappropriate” and that she had rejected the trust which had been placed in her by virtue of her job. The support worker, of Caerphilly, Wales, has now been struck off the professional care worker register following a professional standards hearing. Committee chair Steve Jones said the case was too serious to warrant any sanction other than striking off. He added: “The offence is so serious there will always be the risk with Miss Short working with vulnerable people.”

Utterly appalling. This has left me speechless. This young Swedish girl is called Meya Åberg. She was 16 and was walking home after missing the bus. She was in a pedestrian tunnel when she encountered Yazied Mohamed, an 18 year old Eritrean refugee. He raped her. She reported it immediately. He was found guilty and sentenced to three years in prison. You would have thought that he would be deported afterwards. But no, the Swedish court ruled that although the crime was serious “the duration of the attack” was not long enough to warrant deportation. Yes, you heard that correctly. She was not raped for long enough. So Mohamed remains in Sweden.
