I’ve likened it to me not putting a blue-ringed octopus in my crib box as it’s likely to kill me. Anyone with an allergy would apply the same safety precautions on their vessel that they already do in everyday life!!

It is the eye sight test at the moment that is totally failing fishermen as MCA standard is the HGV eyesight test, rather than the car driving licence standard. OK for fisherman to drive car at 70mph in bad weather conditions, but not 2mph at sea in a small open boat.

@jonnorris12 Got a box of these a few years ago for pot bait. Great bait for crab but felt like I was playing Russian roulette once I hauled them - pushing baits into bait bags hoping not to get spiked!

@sawsharkman I’m struggling to understand the trawl - doesn’t seem to have any spread!?!? Also, fouling grows on our gear within weeks. That plastic must have been in the ocean a long time to make it to the GPGP. Total fake!

Does anyone actually believe this is real anymore? Not a hint of any biofouling or any living thing when they're using a huge trawl net. All while using literal tons of fuel per day to greenwash one of the world's most polluting companies (Maersk).
