HELP PLEASE! we are trying to get some info on FR Holmes, who played club cricket in Essex for Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill, Westcliff, Southend and Wickford between 1913 and 1932. He also played for Clapton Orient FC in or before 1901. PM me if this name is familiar. Retweets help!

Doug Insole CBE (1926-2017) played for Cambridge University, Essex, and England. After retiring from playing, he was prominent in cricket administration, and served as chairman of the England selectors and as President of the MCC. #EssexCricket #essexccc #HomeofCricket #lovelords

More good news with additional international cricket to be played at Chelmsford this year. Both England and Sri Lanka were impressive at the recent U19 World Cup and the players on show are the future of our great game.
