Anytime I hear a story of betrayal, I'd cringe. Then I'd remember the Du'a, our Noble Prophet SallAllahu alaihi Wasallam taught us about betrayal. "Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal- ju’i, fa-innahu bi’sad-daji’u; wa a’udhu bika minal-khiyanati, fa-innaha bi’satil-bitanah" O Allah! I seek refuge in You from hunger; surely, it is the worst companion. And I seek refuge in You from betrayal/treachery; surely, it is a bad inner trait. When fearing harm or betrayal, you may recite the following: "Allahummak-fineehim bimaa shi'ta." "O Allah, suffice (i.e. protect) me against them however You wish". 🤲

@richy_goonerr @Carra23 if you really said above you are a nut job. You don't remember Gerrard slipping, you don't remember Arsenal beating Liverpool to the title at Anfield. Always talking rubbish.

You claim to want good governance and proper representation but the ticket you so much hate is the one having Mal Pantami on it as a gubernatorial candidate. Except good governance means something else, you’re simply a hypocrite, I will not even lace or sugarcoat this. You prefer a mediocre candidate to someone with a better CV and performance.

Much of the backlash against Prof. Pantami is less about principle and more about preconception.. sectarian biases, unease with his religious identity and those with genuine resentment over his alignment with the APC. Still, it’s important to separate genuine critique from blind hostility.

Those with a clear conscience must not remain silent in the face of Minister Wike’s brazen distortion, deformation, and contortions of the Abuja Master Plan. Your silence is nothing but loud hypocrisy and cowardice.

INNALILLAHI WA’INNA ILLAIHI RAJIUN With a heavy heart, I announce the passing of my beloved friend, my brother, and someone I respected with all my heart, Alhaji Saleh Shehu Ashaka. He was a man who always did good in everything he set his mind to. A man who constantly encouraged others to do what is right. Anyone who truly knows me understands what Saleh @AshakaSaleh meant to me. I valued him deeply, and I loved him sincerely. Saleh treated me like a close friend, always sharing things with me and guiding me. But to me, he was much more than that. I took him like my boss, my mentor, and someone I aspired to become like as I grow. He believed in me and started building me toward success. He wanted to transform me, rebrand me, and push me to grow beyond the person I was, especially steering me away from being noisemaker on the internet. His impact on my life will never be forgotten. 💔💔💔😭😭😭 May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.

Even Rabiu cannot withstand the pressure, because import licence is not given to a common man, like me & you. Alh Aliko knows this truth. However, I do not doubt Rabi’u’s competence. He is the kind of professional whose technocratic depth & work ethic are easy to admire. Few attain the kind of trajectory Rabiu has had in such a short time, from the downstream sector in Oando, into logistics & supply chain at Lafarge, and later an executive role at the Dangote Group. He is very close to influential industry figures, particularly Wale Tinubu of Oando & Alhaji Aliko Dangote. Having someone as NMDPRA CEO with such strong affiliations within the operator space raises concerns about optics in the sector. Industry players need a neutral & level playing field to ensure fair competition, maintaining confidence in the regulatory environment. Appointing him Minister of Petroleum would arguably be better. This would have positioned him focusing on policy formulation & broader gov’t programmes, rather than agency CEO directly carrying out oversight of his immediate competitors. We must insulate regulatory outreach from ridicule & funny perception.
