On this Women’s Day, remember that giving should not require losing yourself in the process.
Continue to give your compassion, your leadership, and your strength.
But also give yourself good mental well-being.
When women gain #MentalWellbeing, everyone gains. #GiveToGain#IWD2026
Behind every resilient community lies the quiet strength of women. At the Unite for Women Concert, I paused to reflect on something deeply personal: our identities are greatly influenced by women.
Their strength, compassion, and reliability consistently shape @Rotary and our communities.
I have often said that when you entrust women with responsibility, excellence follows naturally.
I appreciate the @RotaryNaalya for leading the way in rethinking how we honor women.

Eng. Susan Nakanwagi, the Uganda Communications Universal Service and Access Fund (UCUSAF) Technical Manager at Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to empowering young people through digital innovation. Speaking on behalf of the UCC, she encouraged the youth to put the skills they had acquired to productive use, reminding them that the ultimate goal of the programme is to tackle unemployment by enabling young people to create opportunities for themselves.
She cautioned participants to be responsible digital citizens, emphasizing that “the internet never forgets.” She urged them to be mindful of the content they create and share online, noting that their digital footprint can either build or damage their personal and professional reputations. At the same time, she encouraged them to become ambassadors of knowledge within their communities by sharing the skills they had gained with peers who were unable to attend the training.

We are excited to officially kick off the #ICTSkills4Youth training in Kamuli District.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Moses Mitala, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Kamuli District, encouraged the youth to use their smartphones responsibly emphasizing the importance of sharing accurate information and avoiding the spread of misinformation.
Throughout the training, participants are being introduced to various digital platforms and practical tools that can help them generate income, access job opportunities, and build sustainable careers in the digital economy.
The sessions are highly hands-on, allowing the youth to explore online platforms, understand the fundamentals of digital entrepreneurship, and discover how technology can unlock new and emerging opportunities.
This initiative is proudly supported by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), Uganda Communications Universal Service and Access Fund (UCUSAF), and Prime Time Communications.

@DumaicUG hosted an ideation workshop with our partner @afyanahakiug exploring advancing reproductive justice by increasing access to essential medical products for SRHR. The discussions centered around using @WHO & National EMLs to assess SRHR related commodities availability.
@cobbo3 Everyone has to leave at some point, otherwise we wouldn't be seeking for change, because also President Museveni was very good at a particular time.
The Uganda Parliament will never be the same after Ssemujju Nganda lost the Kiira Municipality seat in the Jan. 15, 2026 election. I thought the middle class voters of Kiira were more discerning. Is it that they didn't turn up, or the NUP storm was too much?
@mutimbaj Mental health isn’t about trying harder,it’s about building supportive systems that make well-being sustainable. Boundaries, rest, and psychological safety truly matter.
#Mentalhealth is not a New Year’s resolution but infrastructure.
Resolutions rely on willpower but Mental health relies on systems like boundaries, rest, support, and psychological safety.
When mental health collapses, it’s rarely a personal but a systems failure.
Where M&E sits determines whether evidence drives decisions or gathers dust.
Under projects: strong reporting, weak learning.
Under finance/compliance: accountability-heavy, adaptation-light.
Under strategy/executive: evidence shapes priorities.
Placement is power.

Organizations don’t lack data. They make decisions before evidence enters the room.
When M&E is treated as compliance, it’s tolerated.
When treated as intelligence, it’s used
