@mvoto building in public forces you to learn marketing, writing, community — stuff most devs avoid. it's like a second education you didn't sign up for but actually need

Nobody tells you this about building in public: The "public" part is harder than the "building" part. Writing code is comfortable. Putting yourself out there every day? That takes a different kind of discipline.

I was about to abandon my build in public’a first project, heading already to the next side hustle and committed to that, when suddenly I had my first paying customer. For a lifetime deal, that’s true, but that feeling is special and unique! Now I must plan my next move there

Getting in an airplane with 3 kids is not that tricky. The though part is sitting next to someone farting the whole 6 hours of the flight

@lukatofocus Also, the niche I am exploring is narrowed and better defined now, which makes things not only easier but also more exciting for me!

Pivoting hard 😤 First project? Built without real validation → hard lesson learned. Next one? I'm obsessed with it + validating like crazy before building. Passion + customer truth = the combo I was missing. Who's pivoted and come out stronger? Please reach out!

@lukatofocus Hey there! Mostly a combination of landing page and TikTok content. It might be also a long run to fully validate it.

So I'm building a dedicated planner/buyer guide for home gym equipment, focused on Canadian brands that actually deliver here (think Bells of Steel and Synergee, for example). Plan your space, compare local options, and avoid import headaches. Validation phase: If home gym life in Canada frustrates you (costs, availability, fit for our homes/climate), what's the #1 pain point? Drop it below or DM. Your input = early features. 🔥🇨🇦

Story time on the pivot. Last project, remember Contentide? Built something nice...but without real passion or validation. Learned the hard way. This time? Different. It's personal. As a Canadian dad who trains at home, I've spent way too much time hunting for solid gym gear that doesn't come with insane shipping, duties, or 'sorry, not available in Canada' messages. Winters here mean more indoor training. Basements/garages need smart setups. I want to help fellow Canadians skip the hassle by embracing local/Canadian companies with better prices and less or no import fees!

@CanucksArmy I am a noob to the game and how draft works, but honestly, what do you do with 6th round picks? Why is that even a 6th round in drafts?

@RocketBullets Well, not much different from what SEN did with Kyu. And I think the results won’t also be different from SEN’s. I hope they prove me wrong.

Curious to learn more about how people feel about the massive AI-generated content everywhere. Tons of posts in social media, websites that smell like AI, emails, images, pretty much everything and everywhere. I think it's good for now, but at some point, some things would be highly evaluated if you identify that it was not generated by AI.

I feel like it's time for me to speak up. The AI race/rush or whatever you call it will drive many people crazy. And I mean, literally! Mental health issues will develop like never before. I can see myself(a software engineer) already affected by this: the FOMO and urge to build something and make money now, otherwise you will no longer have a job in a couple of years, is driving me nuts. I trust God, and I am 100% sure He will keep providing, but most Christians know how hard it is not feel responsible or in charge as the main provider for their families. Every day, a new article of people telling what you need to do, every day, something new and amazing is released by the big AI players, and it's hard to keep up. Let's not even mention the interviews from CEO's/founders, etc talking about concerns and governments ignoring the potential safety risks that all this progress brings. An amazing era to live in, for sure, but the future is not bright in my opinion. Just sharing my thoughts and trying to open doors for communication. If you are feeling this same way, please reach out and let's talk!
