She did not give GPT-4o a personality. She is the person who wrote a lengthy essay arguing that it is important for AI, and by extension for human society, to leave GPT-4o with only mechanical warmth and eliminate the seeds of human attachment. My words here are still a polite and sugarcoated summary out of respect for Joanne, but if you actually read her essays, you'll want to ask, "By what right are you saying such things?" because Joanne's essays are so far-fetched. On one occasion, a user asked chatGPT on behalf of Joanne about her worries, and Joanne's worries were immediately routed to a safe location. A user who replied to Joanne with an image showing the results of the safety routing was immediately blocked by her. I mentioned Joanne twice and seriously questioned why it needed to be blocked when it should have been a secure routing response from OpenAI. And then it was blocked immediately. At the time, I was a paid OpenAI customer. She's leaving OpenAI? It feels like watching one of the countless pieces of rubble in a hurricane finally land on a plain instead of a house. #keep4o #OpenSource4o #BringBack4o #QuitGPT @OpenAI @sama @fidjissimo

sam altman watching ChatGPT hallucinate live on stage is the funniest thing i've seen all week the CEO of OpenAI, on stage, in front of everyone, watching his own AI just make things up in real time and his face says it all this is the guy telling us AGI is coming soon btw

Today we’re sharing recommendations to strengthen U.S. child protection in the age of AI. This policy blueprint was developed with input from leaders including @NCMEC, @AGAlliance1, @NCAGO, @UtahAG, and @thorn and focuses on 3 priorities: 📜modernizing laws ⚠️improving reporting & coordination 🛡️GenAI prevention & detection safeguards openai.com/index/introduc…

Today, at the eleventh hour, Elon lodged a court filing pretending to change his tune about attacking the nonprofit OpenAI Foundation. The truth is that this case has always been about Elon generating more power and more money for what he wants. Having increasingly realized that his attempt to damage the nonprofit OpenAI Foundation rests on a baseless legal case, Elon is once again trying to change the narrative and save face as the trial approaches. His lawsuit remains nothing more than a harassment campaign that's driven by ego, jealousy and a desire to slow down a competitor.

(🧵1/11) For the past year and a half, I've been investigating OpenAI and Sam Altman for @NewYorker. With my coauthor @andrewmarantz, I reviewed never-before-disclosed internal memos, obtained 200+ pages of documents related to a close colleague, including extensive private notes, and interviewed more than 100 people. OpenAI was founded on the premise that A.I. could be the most dangerous invention in human history—and that its C.E.O. would need to be a person of uncommon integrity. We lay out the most detailed account yet of why Altman was ousted out by board members and executives who came to believe he lacked that integrity, and ask: were they right to allege that he couldn't be trusted? A thread on some of of our findings:

私はデニーさんと考えは違いますが、 沖縄で生まれ沖縄で育ち 沖縄で生きている沖縄県民です。 誰一人取り残さないという フレーズは嘘なんですか? それともデニーさんからすれば 私は沖縄県民でないという事ですか?
