“There is no manual to prepare you for having a missing child. No one can ever prepare you for this. How do you ever get to where you’re able to keep going? Team HOPE supported me through some of the hardest times, and it meant so much to me. Now it’s my turn to help someone else. That’s why I joined the peer support group in 2021. Giving back is a reward in itself.
My grandson, Joshua Davis, was only 1 year old when he disappeared from his home on Feb. 4, 2011, in New Braunfels, Texas. We’ve watched him grow up through the age progressions created by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. It’s very emotional because we remember him as a baby, and that’s how we still see him. When the first age progression was released, I could see similarities, but I had to be very delicate in how I introduced it to his mom. It was heartbreaking for her. Joshua also has a little brother who was born exactly two weeks after he disappeared.
If you see something, don’t question it. Just call. You could help bring Joshua home to his family.
When you believe what your eyes can see, signs from heaven show up to remind you that love never dies. Joshua, you are loved and missed every day. We will never be complete until you are home with us.” — Natalie, Joshua’s grandmother.
Joshua Davis was only 18 months old when he disappeared from his home on the afternoon of Feb. 4, 2011. He may be in need of medical attention. Today, Joshua is 16 years old.
