Looming fuel shortage and price increment with expiry of SIs that suspended taxes on fuel. Fuel Subsidy constituted mostly waiver of taxes (customs duty 25%, VAT 16% and Excise duty). Beginning January 2, these SI have expired and Hon. Situmbeko says there will be no subsidies.
