So financially, selling Ferran while keeping Lewy on reduced wages gives you both similar wage spending and incoming money, which makes it the more efficient option. On top of that, from a purely sporting perspective, you can still argue that Lewy currently offers more on the pitch than Ferran, even at his age. The only real downside is long-term planning. If you sell Ferran and keep Lewy, you’re likely creating a problem for yourself in 1–2 years when you’ll need to look for a backup striker again. But that’s uncertain, by then, a solution could emerge internally (maybe Hamza Abelkarim?) or through the market.

Such a shame man, this was supposed to be his last World Cup but they failed to make it. And honestly, no one can blame him. You can’t expect him to carry them at this age, he already dragged them to the last two World Cups and has around 90 international goals. I think only Messi and Ronaldo have more than him.
