Kinuwestyon ni dating senador Antonio Trillanes IV ang naging pahayag ni Sen. Bam Aquino na sa Pilipinas dapat isagawa ang mga pagdinig sa extrajudicial killings (EJK) na nangyari sa administrasyon ni dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Giit niya, personal ito para sa kanila na nagsampa ng kaso, nag-alaga ng testigo, at nangalap ng ebidensya para makamit ang hustisya na aniya’y hindi maibibigay rito sa Pilipinas.
“Sa mga hihirit naman na ‘ideally’ ang sinabi mo, maliwanag doon sa sinabi ninyo sa akin noong campaign 2022 na hindi ninyo ipapadala si Digong sa The Hague kahit may ICC warrant of arrest,” giit ni Trillanes.
“Alam din naman natin na ang justice system dito ay far from ideal lalo na sa mga makapangyarihan. So, para saan pa ang statement mo? Papogi lang sa mga DDS at the expense ng mga nagsakripisyo?” dagdag pa niya.

'GIRL POWER' WATCH: A potential 2028 tandem between Sara Duterte and Imee Marcos is being floated ahead of the next national elections. On Wednesday, Sen. Robin Padilla said he is working to gather support for the possible pairing, with Duterte running for president and Marcos for vice president. “Panahon na para maramdaman ng pinoy ang girl power,” said Padilla. “Kapag umiikot ako sa ibang bansa, yun ang laging sinasabi ko. Gusto ko talaga, Sara-Imee. Reconciliation ako,” he added later on.
