Let me tell you something I’ve learned the long, hard, hilarious way: life does not always hand you what you asked for. Sometimes it gives you the exact opposite. Sometimes it gives you something so wild you look up at heaven like, “Lord… is this a test or a prank?” But here’s the truth I’ve settled into: You get what you get, and you don’t get upset — because God is still in it. Life will throw challenges, disappointments, delays, and detours. Some seasons feel unfair. Some feel heavy. Some feel like they came straight out of the “you’ve got to be kidding me” department. But none of it catches God off guard. And while we don’t get to choose every circumstance, we do get to choose our posture. I’ve learned that strength isn’t pretending everything is perfect. Strength is saying, “This isn’t what I wanted… but God is still who He’s always been.” Strength is refusing to let bitterness take root. Strength is finding joy in the cracks, humor in the chaos, and purpose in the pain. God never promised us a life without trouble — but He promised us a life where trouble doesn’t win. Scripture says, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” That means even when life feels uneven, God is steady. When life feels unfair, God is faithful. When life feels heavy, God is holding you up. So if you’re in a season that feels confusing or disappointing, hear me clearly: You are not cursed. You are not forgotten. You are not losing. You are being carried. And the same God who brought you through the last storm is already standing in the next one, waiting to guide you through. You may not get to choose the challenges. But you can choose courage. You can choose gratitude. You can choose joy. And you can choose to trust the God who never wastes a struggle. You get what you get… but with God, you’ll always get enough.

Sister Jean has passed away at the age of 106. A legend that we will never forget. ❤️
