Tuyoor Muhajera (migrant birds) Camp is a struggling camp in Khan Younis that we visit and support regularly. During our meat distribution in Eid, The Sameer Project team found this family that is suffering silently in their torn tent. Heartbreak after heartbreak as we receive videos of families in Gaza in unlivable condition. And instead of seeing more support, the opposite is happening. International organizations are reducing aid and mutual aid groups and local organizations are struggling to continue their work. This video was taken on May 27th, the first day of Eid. With a huge decrease in funds, The Sameer Project tried to maximize the Eid donations to spread the smiles across as many camps as possible. We managed to distribute 2,000 kilos of meat to 2,000 families, and do multiple entertainment days and sweets giveaways. It reminds them that they’re not alone and not forgotten.
