We remember Titina Silá , one of Africa's giants who transitioned on this day in 1973. She was a revolutionary figure who fought against Portuguese colonialism in Guinea Bissau as a member of the PAIGC.

"Leonard is excited," says @NickTilsen of @ndncollective, who spoke to Indigenous political prisoner Leonard Peltier after his sentence was commuted in a final act of the Biden administration. "He said, 'I'm finally coming home.'"

President Biden has granted Leonard Peltier commutation of his life sentence, to serve the remainder of his sentence at home, effective February 18th, 2025. NDN Collective called Leonard Peltier just outside of the Coleman, FL prison after the news was confirmed, to ask if he had a message for Indian Country.
