I think a lot about early New England. Just scattered communities of religious extremists who sacrificed everything to come to a continent with winters they’d never experienced before, animals they’d never seen before, spirits they’d never felt. It was blue black at night, so dark your neighbors small fire lit cabin wasn’t even visible to you. Cold, sober, back breaking work. Maybe there were witches, it’d make sense some went crazy, chose to fight for the other side they certainly believed in. Walking through the woods would’ve felt silent, immense, they’d spent their whole lives on an island and now they stood on a colossal landmass they couldn’t even fathom the size of. It probably felt terrifying and awe inspiring all at the same time. The veil must’ve been thin. I bet they felt close to God.

@manraymane @mxndni @thenanyu What I've observed is that once it's going, it's mostly fine, but it has trouble loading initially if you open the app when you have no service. Open it up, let it load the list of music/episodes, and you're free to leave service. Open after leaving, it's slow to figure it out.

Reminds me of how the weather app on iOS is designed by people that experience 70 degree F weather 300 days a year

Vou contar uma história cabulosa: Tinha um repassador que me vendia carros de repasse. Tudo certo. Eu tinha na época um Golf sapao 2003, zerado, de meu uso. O repassador, gente fina, me apresentou um cliente que queria comprar meu Golf, com ótima entrada e saldo no bigode. Percebi que o cara era da correria, mas como entrada era boa, risco quase zero de prejuízo, só deixaria de ganhar se algo acontecesse e... ACONTECEU. Após pagar várias parcelas em dia, fui chamado na delegacia de homicídios porque o cara que me comprou o carro e mais 2 bonecos foram mortos dentro do Golf. De praxe, levei contrato assinado e tudo certo. O Golf tinha rastreador e eu nao falei pro comprador. Toda noite ele fazia um trajeto. Ele ia numa vila da pesada, depois passava lá pelas 2 da madrugada numa zona de prostituição e tráfico. Provavelmente abastecia na vila e revendia na madrugada. Ao dar depoimento, delegada só olhou meu contrato, provando pra quem eu vendi e ja me liberou falando que aquele caso era trabalhoso e dificil. Senti que a delegada estava receossa e com medo. Nao entendi o "muito dificil" da delegada mas depois fiquei sabendo que era uma ponta de um negocio muito grande e poderoso com gente importante envolvida. O carro ficou na delegacia. Uns 3 meses depois, me aparece a viúva do meu cliente e o repassador. Me pediu se ela podia quitar o carro a vista e se eu podia ir tirá-lo do pátio da policia, pois estava no meu nome. Falei claro que sim, até se nao me pagasse.... Quitou e retirei o carro e transferi pra ela. Mas apesar de ser viúva recente, estava muito faceira... Talvez o luto tenha passado rapido. Não fiz perguntas. Sem perguntas.
