He doesn't hold the camera, he doesn't sew the costumes, and he doesn't compose the soundtrack. He directs the people who do (or, in my case, the AI that does). But no one would ever say he isn't an artist. Our artistry lies in our taste. Out of the dozens of generations the AI spits out, we are the ones deciding which one evokes the right emotion. We are the ones guiding the genre, the mood, and the structure. Every time technology makes something easier to create, the traditional industry panics and calls it 'not real art.'
