Amazon Ring died on May 22, 2026. It just doesn't know yet. One dad in Nashville, Tennessee built a free MIT-licensed app that watches your driveway, your porch, your baby monitor, your garage. No cloud. No subscription. No cop ever gets the footage. 32,057 stars. 3,103 forks. Pushed today. Here is the wildest part: You: "How much is Ring Protect Pro?" Ring: "$19.99 a month. $199.99 a year. Per house." You: "How much is Google Home Premium Advanced?" Google: "$20 a month. $200 a year. Per house." You: "What do I get?" Both: "We store your footage in our cloud. Ring already paid the FTC $5.8 million in 2023 for letting employees and contractors watch your videos without your consent. Google just raised Nest prices again in 2025." You: "What does Frigate cost?" Blake Blackshear: "Nothing. It runs on the Raspberry Pi already on your shelf. The footage never leaves your house. I have a day job." Ring sells the camera. Then sells your fear back to you, monthly, forever. Frigate sells nothing. Because Blake isn't selling. He's a dad with 1,267 followers who got tired of Amazon owning his front door. 100% Opensource. 100% Local. 100% Yours. The smart camera industry made one bad assumption. That you'd keep paying rent on a camera you already bought. That assumption just died in Nashville.

It’s 1:15 in the morning, but @timburchett and I are still fighting to protect your privacy from government surveillance. It’s time to end Flock Cameras’ massive overreach of tracking citizens license plates! The 4th Amendment has to be protected

And just like the NFA taxes that were removed from SBR’s and suppressors by the Big Beautiful Bill, why are these items being registered if there are no taxes? According to the Supreme Court in a ruling from 1937, the NFA is only constitutional because Congress has the legal authority to levy taxes, and the NFA registry is a registration not of the firearms, but of taxes paid. So if the tax on everything covered under the NFA is $0…there is no constitutionally allowable reason for the NFA to exist. The Supreme Court must strike down the NFA.
Rep. Lauren Boebert@RepBoebert

Proud to introduce new legislation that will eliminate the remaining NFA taxes on machine guns and destructive devices. Taxing our constitutional rights is unacceptable and unconstitutional, it’s past time we put an end to it!

🚨 REP. TIM BURCHETT JUST STORMED OUT OF COMMITTEE IN FURY! RIGHTFULLY SO! “A backroom deal was cut to let Democrats control what we do!” The RINOs are selling out behind closed doors again, handing power back to the same Democrats the American people just crushed. @timburchett is one of the few with the spine to call it out and walk! No more secret deals. No more caving. No more weak leadership.

Joker in the Car Just Exposed the Whole Damn Game And He’s 100% Right! I just sat through that full Joker meltdown in the car and I’m still fired up. This ain’t about groceries or gas prices. It’s about elite scumbags who wrecked the country, shipped our money overseas, built escape tunnels under the cities, and still had time to party with Diddy while the rest of us try to survive. They trot out aliens every time the heat gets too high, print trillions like it’s nothing, and then we get to the part about four-year-olds… Sick sons of bitches. Wo*dchipper’s too nice for you. You ruined it all. Stay the hell out of Gotham, stay away from our kids, our wallets, and our future. PapaBear out. Who else is done pretending?

Why are we not organizing and creating a new government according to our Constitution. Not a coup. Not a violent takeover. Just replacing a government that has clearly been subverting our beloved Constitution. The Bill of Rights is a legal guideline of what we're allowed to do. Again, why are we not organizing?

An anonymous developer built a library so big it made Elsevier's legal team cry. It's called Anna's Archive. This got 99 million books and papers. Every shadow library on earth mirrored and searchable in one place. Domain takedowns bounce off it. It just moves to a new URL and keeps going. Here's the story behind it. In November 2022, US law enforcement seized Z-Library's domains and arrested its operators. The largest ebook library on the internet was gone overnight. A pseudonymous developer going only by "Anna" had already seen it coming. She had spent months as part of an anonymous group called the Pirate Library Mirror, quietly making full copies of every major shadow library before they disappeared. When Z-Library fell, she had the entire thing backed up. Days later, Anna's Archive went live. Here's what makes it unkillable. It does not host a single file. It indexes metadata and links to third-party mirrors. Legally, there is nothing to seize. Technically, there is no central server to shut down. The entire codebase is open source. The entire dataset is distributed via torrents and IPFS, a decentralized file system where data lives across thousands of nodes simultaneously. If every domain gets blocked tomorrow, anyone can spin up a new mirror in minutes from the same data. Italy blocked it. Germany blocked it. Publishers sued it. The US Trade Representative put it on their notorious markets list. It added new domains and kept going. What you get for free: → 99M+ books and academic papers → Sci-Hub, Library Genesis, Z-Library, Internet Archive all mirrored in one search → No account required → No subscription → Download via IPFS, torrent, or direct link → Works across multiple mirror domains when one goes down Elsevier charges universities $2 billion a year for journal access. A single anonymous developer with a pseudonym and a backup drive just made that business model look embarrassing. 100% Opensource. annas-archive.gl

Scientists mapped a piece of brain the size of half a grain of rice. One-millionth the size of the human brain. It took them a year and over 1.4 million gigabytes to scan it. They found over 57,000 cells, 150 million synapses, and even some new structures they didn't know existed. Mapping the entire human brain in this level of detail would require all the data storage generated on Earth in a year + a 140-acre data center. But the human brain itself can hold up to ~2.5 million gigabytes of information - enough for ~3 million hours of HD video or 342 years of continuous viewing. It can process roughly 10 quadrillion calculations per second - enough processing power to run over 4,000 high-end gaming PCs all operating at peak ability. And it only runs on the amount of power needed for a single dim light bulb. No technology even comes close to doing what the brain can do. The more we learn about biology, the more complex it becomes. This is God's Glory on display.

@mandyarthur **Extremely low—under binomial assumptions where new voters mirror typical primary turnout splits (say ~45-55% incumbent support), the odds of 52k new voters going >90% against one are vanishingly small (<<0.0001%), absent massive, targeted mobilization.**

I was invited by Joe Rogan to do his show. He was interested in Bigfoot and Missing 411. We spoke about a lot of things. He asked a lot of questions about Bigfoot, ape, gorillas, DNA, etc. A bit over two and a half hours. The show airs tomorrow 5/19. It was fun and I enjoyed the conversation.
