I know I made a joke earlier but this is seriously concerning. I am not convinced it's ai, I think it's just accelerating this trend. The enshitification has been marching forward for years now and I hate it I know the rage is all about how you should do no typing, you should only use AI, and only luddites say anything different, but I urge you to practice programming and becoming an expert It is worth it

@championswimmer You could also try Omakub. Similar dhh opinionated defaults but with Ubuntu. Little bit changes for your own setup and it is good to go out of the box.

Gave it a try. But I’m back to Ubuntu folks. 1. Omarchy cannot configure grub to dual boot with Windows during installation. This is table stakes for Ubuntu, Fedora and the likes 2. I didn’t actually like Hyprland. Sticky windows and multi desktop are enough for me. The tiling feels overkill 3. Beyond Hyprland and the color themes, it mainly is just a set of preinstalled apps it seems. I can just install that in Ubuntu 4. Despite the valid reasons people have concerns about snap store and flatpaks etc the Ubuntu App Store is actually nice 🤷‍♂️ and there is synaptic for traditional apt software anyway.

I was talking to someone visiting from India, telling him that I'll be going to Costco to get weekly groceries after the meeting, and was amused to hear that they are ordering three times a day from a quick delivery startup, even milk. Saala hum US ake bhi Garib hi rahe.

This is a Timelapse video of Bharat from space. The @iss is moving from south to north from the Indian Ocean. We are travelling along the east coast of India. The purple flashes you see is lightening happening in thunderstorms all over the country. Once the lights fade and a dark region appears- that's Himalayas. As we cross over you see light starts to flood in because you are witnessing a sunrise in orbit. Also notice the stars in the background. It truly is a mesmerising dance of natural elements turning it into one beautiful spectacle. Unfortunately I was up there during the monsoon season and it was mostly cloudy, yet I managed to steal a few shots of Bharat, one of which you are seeing.
