Just another day being oppressed by the patriarchy. Sitting in the sun knitting and drinking coffee on my lunch break. Woke up and read interesting books with the kids for school then built bushcraft boats with them. Will go hiking this afternoon. Patriarch is taking me out tonight.

@txsalth2o We had purchased wedge pillows from Costco to be able to prop up and read in bed. He fell asleep on it one night…no snoring.
He has slept on it now for three years…very rarely snores. If we go to a hotel, even with extra pillows, he snores.
Something about that angle🤷♀️

My husband does noes strips & mouth tape, we have white noise but still- he wakes me up, I shove ear plugs in, can still hear him & I start thinking about the all the other things I can do with the pillow…

@mythreesonsb @travisakers My school had a tenured teacher that always stumbled into the girls changing room, two teachers that hated me because they had my stepdad in class and my 8th grade science teacher went to jail for doing drugs in a cemetery and that’s just some. I was never trusting the staff lol

Text your kid all you want. They’re not going to see it during my class though, because if they’re on their phone, it’s getting confiscated and you can come pick it up from the principal after school.
Entitled and enabling parents are as much of the problem as the system itself.

There’s no law that a parent can’t text their child dude. You are a teacher not a dictator. These people are forced to come to school to listen to you teach whatever your state tells you to teach, if you’re in public schools. There’s no law that parents aren’t allowed to communicate with their child or send a text during any certain set hours. Thank God. Scolding parents like you’re the warden of their children is a truly gross look. Find something better to complain about. Parents being in touch with their kids?? No. Schools, teachers, and systems telling parents they don’t have purview over their own children is part of what facilitated MK Ultra, GATE programs and ***Epstein-esque lists***, etc. There are plenty of legit and timely “best interest of children” soap boxes to hop on and you’re sidestepping ALLLLLLLLL of them here.

@mythreesonsb @travisakers Well you see I was 14 and throwing up blood in the gym bathroom, I was scared and didn’t want to deal with the staff who let me get continuously bullied. I got stabbed with an exacto knife once and had a day of in school too😬 I didn’t trust the staff

When did teacher’s attire take a turn? Teachers today dress like they are all teaching PE. Growing up all my teachers wore heels, dresses, slacks, dress shirts, hair was done. They looked put together. Teachers today look like they don’t care. the way you show up contributes to the environment you work in. this may be one of the factors into why kids behave the way they do. take the profession seriously so the kids can take you seriously
