I’ll ask you the same thing I ask everyone who says this. What about the kids? We have 50 years of data proving that this arrangement is by a factor of 10 to 12 times the best for children over everything else. Am I the only one who gives a shit about kids? You know, one of the biggest reasons for getting married in the first place.

I do not want my husband doing housework. I want my husband to do what I cannot, which is provide for our family. I am more than happy to do housework all day long if he does that. How is this not the best deal ever for women?

Men routinely overestimate the amount of childcare and housework they do. Women underestimate how much they do and overestimate how much their husbands do. One solution: dads should commit to doing 70% of the work and it’ll wind up closer to 50-50.
