Closely following @NASAArtemis II's "Integrity" check for future safer, more robust Artemis flights. It augments my focus on @AMSAT GOLF-TEE, our own "integrity" check of new technologies we need/want in future birds. Our team of volunteers is working hard to get to orbit ASAP!

@TamithaSkov Although I didn't see any visual sky beauty here in North Central Texas, at 03:30 this morning I tuned in WSM Nashville (AM 650) as I usually do at QRT and noticed rapid fading, QSB. A fun tip that the aurora and ionosphere were having a show!

Destined for the 6U Jovian-1 satellite, this mode U/V FM transponder had its first on-air test yesterday. 20W ERP on 70cm over a distance of 59km and a path loss of -150dB was received on a QFH antenna and retransmitted on 145.895MHz. Thanks to G0MJW and G3VZV for its first QSO.

The Captain came out of the flight deck to do his preflight announcement right on front of the passengers. With a little flying humor thrown in re: DFW taxi times and "big chunk of weather" near KDAY. "We don't know which way to go around it, we'll figure it out on the way. " 🤣

Without a doubt the @AMSAT Engineering "extra day" Sunday gathering was very productive, including having @AmsatUK guests Graham Shirville G3VZV and David Bowman G0MRF with us for the day to share and exchange ideas. Good friends, good discussions, great fun!
