I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of three young lives in Ghaziabad. My thoughts are with the family. It is important to be precise. What is being called a Korean task game is not a game at all. There was no gameplay and no gaming platform involved. These were manipulative task chains delivered through social and messaging platforms. This is not gaming addiction. It is digital manipulation. There is also no evidence this is rooted in Korean culture or legitimate Korean products. Mislabeling it as a game distracts from the real issue: psychological manipulation of minors enabled by social media platforms. The focus must now be on platform accountability, early detection of such harmful patterns, and stronger child-safety safeguards. This was not a game gone wrong.
