I am thrilled that our work on MemGraft probes for “permanent” fluorescent labelling of plasma membranes is out in @JACS_Au! We established a concept of lipid-directed covalent labeling of plasma membranes. Open access: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja… MemGraft probes allow cell fixation, permeabilization, trypsinization, presence of serum, long-term imaging, co-culture, cell barcoding and magnetic manipulation. A new research direction of my team reached the first milestone: we report a concept of artificial receptor for neurotransmitter dopamine that combines molecular recognition with dynamic covalent chemistry in a lipid nanoreactor. Since long time we tried to achieve “permanent” labelling of plasma membranes. Now it become possible with MemGraft probes, which exploit a new principle of lipid-directed covalent fluorescent labeling of membrane proteins. The MemGraft probes are compatible with fixation, permeabilization, trypsinization, presence of serum in the medium and enable long-term cell imaging, co-culture of cells and their imaging in multiple colors, cell barcoding and cell manipulation. Second paper as first author! 🍾 This release is about new solvatochromic push-pull probes with exclusive photophysical features for Lipid Droplet's Core sensing ! Together with @aklymchenko Available in Analytical chemistry : pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

High specificity to properties of lipid droplets become possible with new solvatochromic dyes. Sensing droplets’ core polarity enabled monitoring effects of fatty acids diet as function of their unsaturation and chain length.
