When I was working on my previous project, I was criticized simply because I'm non-binary. There have been times when people who aren't part of the LGBTQ+ community have spoken as if people like me shouldn't even exist. If we don't speak up, we're treated as though we were never there in the first place. I've also heard people casually dismiss or deny the existence of gay, lesbian and bisexual people—not out of hatred, but because they simply didn't know any better. Even so, words like that can leave lasting scars. That's one of the reasons I created Ribbon Breaker. I made this story for myself—but also for everyone who has ever felt invisible, misunderstood, or pressured to become someone they aren't. I don't believe stories exist only to entertain. I believe stories can become a place where people feel seen, accepted, and understood. If even one person finishes this manga feeling a little less alone, then every page I drew was worth it. To everyone who's already supporting this project—thank you from the bottom of my heart. And if this story speaks to you, I'd be incredibly grateful if you helped bring it into the world.

growing up with Toonami the most memorable parts of summer was watching Gundam, Outlaw Star, and Tenchi with my grandpa and he loved it. The sci-fi comedy and animation really grabbed him, during ad breaks and end credits he would pull out avionic books showing me the parallels of cold war tech he built as an engineer.

Toonamiはアメリカのオタク文化に重要な役割を担っていたわけだけど、日本人から見るToonamiの凄さは作品の選び方がものすごく優れているところ 何百とあるアニメの中から、明らかにオタクを狙った1番濃厚な作品を見事に選んでいる 日本のアニメを北米で放送しようというアイデア以上に、これらの作品を選んだ選球眼が本当に優れている アニメに慣れている日本人ですら脳を焼かれた作品達なので、初めて見る日本語アニメがこれだとかなり衝撃だったと思う

@Otoko_Otaku @roikfbuwgc254 This one always spoke to me and I still think about it often. Not only for the nostalgia but just how these clips of new, imaginative shows challenged what I thought the animation medium was capable of as a child. The storytelling and deep thought. Truly a great part of tv.

@roikfbuwgc254 Toonami was something special. It wasn't just the amazing selection of Anime titles it had, but it's style and presentation, the intros and bumpers, It was an entire experience.

@roikfbuwgc254 Hiei was and still is my favorite. I have liked him since I was in high school.

@DarkDragonDave @nachtyr @wakazhi *kinda sort of. It's an adaptation of a series of light novels that had nothing to do with Outlaw Star & wasn't even made by Takehiko Itō but Ibuki Hideaki. It was adapted INTO a having a connection to Outlaw Star by having Fred, Valeria & Duuz in the show.
