I did a little investment analysis this morning. A friend called me seeking my advice on how to invest her 500k. According to her, she won't be needing it for 6 months. And was thinking stocks. I advised her not to invest it in the stock market. But to invest in safe instruments. So I went to the following apps looking for the best yield: Piggyvest safelock, T-bills on iinvest, and Money Market Fund on Zedcrest. I arrived at the following: • Piggyvest safelock - 8.63% (N43,150 gross interest) ≈ N38,835 net • T-bills on Iinvest - 7.4% (N37,000) ≈ 33,300 net • Money Market Fund on Zedcrest - 7.8%* (N39,000) note that this can fluctuate. In conclusion, Money Market Fund gave me the more attractive yield, net of tax, from these 3. So I advised her to put her 500k there. The reason I am sharing this is because it is very practical, and you can copy it as well. PS: I'll attach evidence of the abovementioned yields below.

Rev Ejike Mbaka, as highly placed as he was, they dragged him the moment he miss Yan. Chukwuma Soludo, the highly placed professor of economics and former CBN governor he lost all the prestige the moment he became governor and started misbehaving. Obi Cubana, the widely acclaimed Igbo prince, started locking CS and warning people to stop harassing him the moment he joined the oppressors. Rochas Okorocha the owele ndi Igbo a self made billionaire the young Igbo prince before the emergence of Cubana brothers, lost all the accolades the moment he joined politics and served as a governor and performed poorly. Igbos aren't saints, but they will not pretend and hail you as the best for crumbs when you aren't. They will make it clear to you that they aren't happy.

Today I celebrate my Boss as he is named Telegraph Newspaper’s Governor of the Year 2025 (Education). @m_akpakomiza In just one year, Edo State has witnessed visible and measurable progress in the education sector. The employment of 5,000 teachers has strengthened our classrooms. The renovation of 63 schools across the state has improved learning environments. Subventions to Ambrose Alli University have risen from ₦41 million to ₦500 million, while Edo State University, Iyamho moved from ₦25 million to ₦250 million. These are decisive interventions that show seriousness of purpose. Education is not just schooling. It is capacity. It is opportunity. It is security for the future. This is why Sustainable Development Goal 4 speaks directly to quality education as the foundation for sustainable growth. This award confirms that within one year, clear direction and political will have translated into results. Edo State is moving forward, and the difference is evident. Congratulations, Your Excellency.

Tinubu is not here to play. See how he turned Sally Suleiman into a zombie. He's got enough money to take care of the entire nation. There is only one way to stop him. Just one. Millions gathered in one place.

Let me say something that will be unpopular in certain circles. Japa is not a financial plan. I am not saying do not leave. I am not saying Nigeria does not have serious problems. I am not saying the people who leave are wrong for leaving. I am saying that relocating is a life decision that requires a financial plan. It is not itself a financial plan. The number of Nigerians who relocated in 2022, 2023, and 2024 on the assumption that a foreign country would automatically solve their financial life is too large to ignore. Many are now living in the UK, Canada, or UAE on salaries that cover cost of living and nothing more. No savings. No investments. No retirement fund. Just a different set of financial pressures in a harder climate. A Nigerian earning ₦600,000 a month in Lagos who saves ₦120,000 (20%) has more long-term wealth-building capacity than a Nigerian earning £2,500 a month in London whose rent, council tax, transport, and food consume £2,300. The destination does not determine the outcome. The financial behaviour does. If you are planning to relocate, plan the finances specifically. What is the realistic cost of living in your destination? What is the realistic starting salary in your field? What is the tax rate? What will your savings rate actually be? And if you are staying, stop treating "people who left" as the reference point for what financial success looks like. Build wealth where you are or where you are going.

A former governor of a populous country in Africa came out to contest for the presidency with the slogan, "It is my turn'. He attended no debates, had no fornal economic plan and the only promise he made was to reduce the purchasing power of the citizens. He was then voted in by the most dubious election in the country's history. Since election, he has since kept his promise and made life unbearable for his citizens. I live in that country.
