Journalists across the world are one family. They are under professional duty and obligation to speak for the rights of their colleagues especially when they are being punished for speaking the truth.
Journalists keep attending events around the world and they are trained to listen to all kinds of views and opinions. Their questions are most of the time in public domain and if they chose not to ask any at the right time then they should not be disturbed by others asking some.

Hey @CaitlinDoornbos, it’s been lovely seeing your posts highlighting the many wonderful things Pakistan has to offer, especially the incredible warmth and hospitality of its people.
I understand that access to government officials is important for any journalist. But so is a commitment to reporting the full, objective picture. While you were there covering the Iran-U.S. talks, I hope you were also able to observe the deeply constrained and suffocating state of journalism in Pakistan.
Setting aside the controversy around the event you referenced, I hope that through @Matiullahjan919 and others present, you caught at least a glimpse of the pressures journalists face. Those who dare to challenge the current regime risk harassment, detention, prosecution on dubious charges, and even murder, often with little recourse. It’s an environment that makes independent reporting extraordinarily difficult and being a true journalist extremely dangerous.
Had you reported on this repression while on the ground, it’s likely your access, or even your stay, would have been cut short by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies. That reality, in itself, is telling (recommended reading: The Nine Lives of Pakistan, Declan Walsh)
As a journalist, one would hope you’ll extend your voice and solidarity to Pakistan’s embattled and endangered media community, if not while there, then upon your return.

Did anyone ask the foreign journalists whose photos are now associated with this how they felt about it? Personally, I feel deceived and used. I would have enjoyed learning more about the media landscape privately, but our images were blasted out in association with a political statement implying our solidarity in criticizing a foreign government in which we’re guests.

In the last 36 hours, we have released three CNIC cards of Pakistani terrorists and their handlers.
The MoIB, ISI, and ISPR first pushed their “WhatsAppiya Bureau Chief,” whose only claim to fame is that he was once detained by the Taliban.
Then the entire machinery including the Bureau Chief’s friends, MoIB bots, and ISPR bots started running a narrative that the spelling is wrong, the alignment is wrong, etc.
Leaving aside the bots, if this WhatsAppiya Bureau Chief previously based in Karachi, is so sure that the CNICs are fake or forged why doesn’t he go to the addresses mentioned and show the world that the CNICs belong to someone else? Why not do a proper fact-check?
But these bunch of terror sympathizers in the skin of journalists will never do that, because it would expose the very regime that is paying.

CNIC cards of two out of the three terrorists who executed the terror attack in Pahalgam on 22.04.2025, killing 26 civilians.
Habib Nazeer alias Habib Tahir and Bilal Afzal alias Faisal Jutt alias Suleman.
Both of these terrorists, who were citizens of Pakistan and were issued CNIC cards by @NadraPak, were eliminated on 28.07.2025 along with their third accomplice, Hanan Zafar alias Hamza Afghani.
