To our Muslim friends,
For those considering living in Japan, there is something we hope you will understand first.
In Japan, most people are cremated after death.
This is not intended to deny or disrespect anyone’s faith.
Rather, it is part of a way of life that developed over a long period of time due to limited land, concerns about water and sanitation, and the importance of harmony within local communities.
We do not wish to reject your beliefs or culture.
At the same time, we do not intend to fundamentally change the systems and customs that Japanese society has carefully maintained for generations.
Therefore, if you wish to live in Japan, we ask that you first try to understand Japan’s cremation culture and the values held by local communities.
This is not hostility.
It is simply the reality of how Japanese society has functioned for centuries.
Before making the decision to come, please think carefully.
For your future,
and for the future of Japan.

To our Muslim friends,
For those considering living and working in Japan, and also to those already working here as truck drivers,
there is something we sincerely hope you will understand.
In Japan, traffic rules and transportation systems have been respected and maintained since the Edo period, forming an essential part of daily life and society.
This is not intended to deny your faith or beliefs.
Japan is a country with limited land, narrow roads, and densely connected communities.
Consideration for others,
public safety,
and protecting human lives from accidents such as collapsing cargo loads—
these values have shaped Japanese ways of living and working over many generations.
We do not wish to reject your religion or culture.
At the same time, we do not intend to fundamentally change the systems, customs, and standards that Japan has carefully maintained.
Therefore, if you wish to live in Japan,
we ask that you first try to understand Japanese culture, social expectations, and the mindset of local communities.
This is not hostility.
It is simply the reality necessary for people to live together peacefully without conflict.
To those considering coming to Japan, and to those already here,
please take a moment to think carefully about this.
For the sake of Muslim communities as well,
and for the future of Japan.

Since I received heaps of messages and comments due to this post I just want to make things clear:
I did not profit from the exchange student, she came through an international exchange program my kids' school is enrolled in. My family and I initially volunteered to host one of the many kids that were going to visit.
Also, we were not informed that about the bs dietary requirements until it was too late to back down, we thought we were getting a normal person.
Furthermore, while our guest was a nice person I could not give a damn hoot about her religion. If I go to a Muslim country I do not demand special treatment for being Christian. I adapt and that's it. I do not regret what I did at all, I will never bown down to that disgusting religion with a p3do prophet. So if you don't like it go fark yourselves.

@leejsmartin @navyhato @LTYokota We dont demand halal everything, we request halal option. That malaysian guy receive backlash not only from Japanese but also from Malaysian. We dont like him saying other cultures disrespectfully.

English

Well considering how Muslims in Japan are demanding halal everything, mosques and prayer rooms everywhere, burial rights, while also saying Japanese culture, religions, and way of life are haram (including one Malaysian saying shrines and temples in Japan are where Satan is), I’m pretty sure Muslims would change the world for Islamic law to be enforced if possible

@leejsmartin @navyhato @LTYokota So you are using an unknown artist to represent the whole of muslim view?
English

@naimanuar_ @navyhato @LTYokota Malaysia is one of the biggest fans of Japan in SEA. I’m pretty sure you can find someone who thinks that way. There’s an artist if I remember correctly is Malaysian and she draws nice art of Japan, but one of her art depicted every women but one a hijabi in Japan
English

@leejsmartin @navyhato @LTYokota You are creating stuff, this is the first time i heard it. Many of us watched anime and we dont care at all
English

@naimanuar_ @navyhato @LTYokota Muslims. And I said they’ll do it when “given the chance”. Ask any Muslim, would they want to see every female character in anime a hijabi? They’ll say yes and reason it’s haram for them, even children, to reveal hair and all because it tempts men
English

Anime is created by the Japanese, it belongs to the Japanese and should depict Japanese culture and way of life. There should not be a hijabi unless of course the character in an anime is made to be a Muslim or in an Islamic country. It would make sense given the plot, for example portraying characters wearing Chinese dress in China or Korean hanbok in Korea, but if you’re going to push for every female character to be a hijabi in Japan and every other non-Islamic country in the anime, that just doesn’t make sense
English

@TheBurdflu @yonaguni_horse @navyhato God will also asked why she didn’t put some effort on checking the ingredient. But i know malaysian students are naive and easy to trust anybody, especially the female
English

@naimanuar_ @yonaguni_horse @navyhato Their religion forgives them if tricked into eating non-halal food. An instance of ignorance being bliss. She did her due diligence in trying to follow halal.
English

@Astrotenma03 @navyhato Damn. We’e over 100 churches in the last 5 years in Canada. Not a single mosque has gone up in flames. What are the odds.
English

@yonaguni_horse @navyhato What did the student do to you for you to do that?
English

@navyhato You can always just tell them it's halal. We had a muslim exchange student from Malaysia at our place. They asked us to procure halal meals for her. Needless to say, I just got some حلال (halal) stickers and pasted on regular food. She even had pork without knowing 🤣
