The Ugandan regime at it again! Now using force and violence to enforce a "cleaning campaign"! Again, they've lost any ability to persuade so they have to coerce. Sad!

Sadly for Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi, he is a Muganda, a Muslim, and a member of NUP. In Uganda today, each of these identities can invite hatred, brutality, and torture when one is abducted. So imagine what happens to someone who combines all the three!

We’ve received disturbing reports alleging that Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi was tortured to near death at Kasenyi SFC military barracks and is now being hidden from the public while receiving treatment before he can be produced. These reports cannot be dismissed lightly. Many of us have gone through similar ordeals at the hands of this regime and were deliberately hidden from the public until our wounds and the evidence of torture had faded. While the regime keeps the country distracted with endless diversions, it’s now 10 days since our Deputy President of the Buganda region was abducted in broad daylight and since then, he has never been seen again. Neither the police nor the army have accounted for his whereabouts. Where is Hon Muwanga Kivumbi ?

I joined @TheWorld's @MarcoWerman to discuss why leaders who cling to power at the expense of their people remain one of the world's greatest threats, and why Uganda’s struggle for freedom deserves urgent global attention. Kindly listen to the interview here:

These documents, publicized under America's public disclosure laws, reveal that the Museveni regime is busy hiring foreign agents in Washington DC to white wash its battered image before the world. According to the documents, the regime is executing agreements with American lobbyists to engage American legislators, NGOs, the media, and others on its behalf. But it's too late because the truth about Uganda is already out and absolutely nothing the regime does can buy it back!

The Washington Post's Editorial Board is asking the American government to immediately review its relations with the Museveni dictatorship for rigging elections and oppressing Ugandans. WE CAN'T AGREE MORE! washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/…

Four days have passed since the televised abduction of our Deputy President for the Buganda Region, Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, by gun-wielding men in plain clothes, aided by Uganda police and traffic officers. To this day, his whereabouts remain unknown. The police and the military have refused to account for him. Equally disturbing is the silence of many religious and cultural leaders in the face of such blatant lawlessness, thereby normalizing it. Where is Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi?

I've just been informed of the violent abduction of my Deputy President for Buganda Region, Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, shortly after he was released on bail yesterday. The criminal regime is doing all this to instil fear within the population, but these tactics have been employed by despots all over the world and throughout history. They never win in the end! UGANDA WILL BE FREE.

Museveni’s son said he is very proud of the pain and hurt he is inflicting on former Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago. He must be very proud of himself, seeing this video. But as the saying goes, no one is tall enough to see the future. One day, the tables will turn and all these atrocities will be accounted for, one by one.

National Unity Platform@NUP_Ug

28th June 2026 | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE STATEMENT ON THE CLOSURE AND MILITARY SIEGE OF UGANDAN MEDIA HOUSES AFFILIATED TO THE NATION MEDIA GROUP The National Unity Platform strongly condemns the military’s arbitrary closure and continuing siege of @ntvuganda, The @DailyMonitor, @sparktvuganda, @DembeFm, and other media houses under the @NationMediaGrp that started at dawn today Sunday, 28th June 2026. The closure, enforced outside any known legal framework, is a primitive attack on press freedom and the citizens’ right to access information -- moreover by a regime now committing even worse tyranny than what it supposedly sought to end when it waged the 1980s war. We stand in solidarity with the journalists, editors, staff, leadership and audience of the affected media houses, and empathize with all who are going to bear the related economic losses. We urge all citizens and institutions, particularly political actors and members of the civil society, to prepare for increased repression in the coming days owing to the deepening constitutional crisis in the country. Historically, the determination of Ugandans to be free has outlasted every regime that thought it was powerful enough to stay forever or clever enough to mutate into another. We remain confident that this time, too, the people’s aspirations for a free and democratic country shall prevail. END

Museveni’s criminal son, acting with his father’s full approval, has moved to silence Uganda’s remaining independent voices by shutting down @NTVUganda, @DailyMonitor, @DembeFM, and @SparkTV. This is the hash reality we now face, a country under open military rule, where fear replaces law and force replaces accountability. But history is clear. Dictators always escalate repression towards their fall, pressing every button in desperation, until they press the one they never expected to be their last. Uganda will be free!

Looking at what the regime did in Kalangala yesterday, Would anyone be wrong to assume that they killed Hon Nakimuli to forcefully take over that District, the same way they killed Ffeffeka to take over Kayunga?

Why don’t you just say it plainly? “I will send soldiers to abduct him and tie him up for me in an illegal torture chamber, so that I can beat him to prove how tough I think I am” The truth is, you know you can’t face me without a gun and last minutes on your feet 😂

Uganda in 2026! Museveni's son just released a picture of his captive, Advocate Erias Lukwago. Blind folded! His crime? Attempting to serve him court summons! If he can do this to an outgoing Lord Mayor of Uganda's capital city, former MP, and senior lawyer, imagine what he does to our ordinary supporters who are abducted day in, day out. And yet Museveni still has the audacity to say anything about Idi Amin! The world must not look on. There will be accountability for these crimes against humanity. It's only a matter of time.

I have received the sad news of the death of Ms. Sarah Nantumbwe (1st image), a wife to comrade John Ddamulira (2nd image) who was abducted from his spare parts shop in Kisekka Market in November 2020 and has never been seen again. She has died carrying the pain of not knowing what became of her husband, a pain that many families of our disappeared know far too well. Ms. Nantumbwe's death has brought back memories of Ms. Monica Nabukenya (4th image), who also passed away just a few months ago in November 2025 after enduring a similar ordeal following the abduction of her husband, comrade Kibalama Johnbosco (3rd image), on Martyrs Day in June 2019. It's a pity that both ladies spent years hoping and searching for answers that never came! May Ms. Nantumbwe rest in eternal peace.
