@JhaSanjay This feels too negative. Bihar has challenges, but roads, power and basic services improved a lot since pre-2005. Crime stats often rise due to better reporting. Industry takes time. And voters aren’t clueless — they chose stability because they felt real benefits on the ground.

THE WEIRDEST ELECTION RESULT I HAVE EVER SEEN … #BiharElections I have no problem in congratulating BJP/ JDU-NDA alliance for their hurricane sweep of the Bihar elections. But I still need to wrap my head around a few intriguing puzzles: Despite ruling for 20 long and continuous years ( a brief break only in between) under the BJP/ JDU Bihar is: Worst in poverty Worst in hunger Lowest in per capita income Double digit in youth unemployment Second highest in Crime ( 953 crimes daily) 81% increase in crime since 2010 High corruption ( 12 bridges collapsed in 17 days) Extreme backwardness No new industry and private investment 65% of BJP candidates had criminal antecedents. BJP wins 93 out of 101 seats contested. That is a hit rate of over 90%. I still don’t understand this. You?
