@Benjamminhere @UMC_CommonSense It happened once where I served and our women's group was in tears. They had served with the deceased for decades (50+ years for some of them) & considered her family.

@UMC_CommonSense Amen. It can also be painful for the deceased person's congregation when the wishes of the deceased person are ignored.

Respect the #funeral wishes of your deceased loved ones. Refusing to hold it at your loved one's #Church because "it's not a REAL church" (in your opinion) is disrespectful to your loved one. Same with demanding your #pastor do the service All you did was make it about you.
