Last night, I was singing my plethora of Sunday school songs to Drake—and Chad thought I was just making up songs. He did say he recognized “The Lord’s Army” song though. If you grew up going to Sunday school or VBS, what was your favorite song?

📍 WARNER, OK - High School Students Learn How To Build A House From The Ground Up! A dozen students in a construction class at Warner High School have completed a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home, which is now for sale. The school district is accepting sealed bids for the home at 1003 E 5th Avenue in Warner, with a minimum bid of $210,000. The bids will be opened on May 15th. Teacher Ira Jackson returned to the classroom after retiring to teach the hands-on work. “The goal of the program is to produce students who can read a tape measure and understand the basics of carpentry and building, and move on from there,” he said. Several students already have job offers after working alongside licensed trades workers during construction. Ethan Atkerson, a Warner High School senior, said he helped with cabinetry, guttering and lighting, and is certain he’ll pursue a career in construction. “I’ve loved doing every part of this,: he said. “It’s all been enjoyable to me. I like being able to work with my hands, and this is something that I can work with my hands and look at the work and think, I did that, I’m proud of that.” Every high school in America should be doing this!

It’s been a month since my beautiful wife, Tamara, unexpectedly passed away. The pain is still so real—not just for me, but for my kids,our family, friends, and everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. Today, I just want to publicly say thank you to each and every one of you for the prayers, love, and support. It has meant more than words can ever express. Tamara touched so many lives. She was larger than life—magnetic, beautiful, loyal… an amazing mother, CoCo, and my soulmate for 31 years. I guess when you love someone so deeply, it breaks your heart even more. Every single day, she read her devotional. Her faith was strong, and she truly lived by it: “Don’t dwell on the negative. Keep your head up so you can see all the blessings around you.” I’m holding onto that now… one day at a time.
