Today in Tigoni, I witnessed a worrying act of recklessness, this kind of behavior puts not only their lives at risk but also endangers other road users.

On behalf of the Ministry of Health, I convey deep sorrow following the passing of Dr. Job Obwaka at the age of 83, a veteran obstetrician and former Director at the Nairobi Hospital.
Dr. Obwaka devoted his life to advancing medical practice in Kenya, leaving an invaluable contribution to the medical fraternity through his clinical excellence, leadership and mentorship of generations of practitioners.
His work significantly strengthened standards of care and improved outcomes in maternal and reproductive health services across the country.
We honour his distinguished service and commitment to humanity and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues and the wider medical community during this difficult time.

The strength that Dr. Chris Obwaka, son of Dr. Job Obwaka, had on this day was immense.
He had his father’s medicine at hand, yet the authorities holding them at the Milimani Courts parking area refused to allow him to even speak to his father or give him his medication.
With the help of SC @NelsonHavi, @ckanjama, @OmbetaC, and others, they allowed me to examine him.
Mzee was not in good health. Eventually, Chris was allowed to bring the medication to his father. He had missed his heart medicine.
After giving Mzee his medication, we advised that we further examine him because he was not looking good. The authorities were still adamant.
The only recourse was to call an ambulance with an emergency doctor to manage him at the parking area.
One of the investigating officers whispered to me that, had the ambulance not been called in the glaring presence of the media and the public, their instructions were to keep him in the police vehicle at the discretion of the powerful man calling the shots.
By 1 pm, despite having been within the precincts of the court, no charge sheet had been presented to the Honourable Magistrate.
A defaulting charge sheet was later presented, which, of course, contained fictitious claims against Daktari, including allegations that he had not filed returns for Nairobi Hospital in the year 2024.
We left the court at 5 pm that evening.
I do NOT know how this regime will beat these allegations.

I was asleep and a business idea has come to me in a dream. Hear me out.
I have this land that is in my name. I want 20 people to contribute money so I can build 20 houses. After the houses are done, I will sell them to other people and buy more land.
The 20 guys will continue contributing while I build more houses. If any of them want a house they will pay the same as those not contributing .
I will call it "Affordable Housing."

@VusiThembekwayo @KenyaAirways @KenyaAirports embarrassing Kenya is their SOP. There's no other way to explain this level of incompetence.
English

I flew with @KenyaAirways last week, and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE ever.
1. The plane was parked a gate away from where passengers were called to board. A gate away. So why use that gate then? Heaven alone knows.
And get this - we had to walk on the skybridge, outside the airport building, down the flight of stairs into the tarmac and make our trek to the aeroplane to board the plane… OUTSIDE THE AIRPORT BUILDING, AND it was raining.
Yes, raining!
So all the passengers had to WALK IN THE RAIN to board the plane.
And we then had to wait outside for the passengers ahead of us to board. So, the rest of us WAITED IN THE RAIN.
We eventually boarded, drenched!
Absolutely crazy.
2. The staff at the boarding gate were chewing gum, talking amongst themselves, and treating passengers as if they were doing us a favour.
Gum.
Loud laughing.
Rolling eyes and demanding clients.
Kuningi nje.
3. My bag was badly damaged — really badly. While the bag is expensive (no need to get into the cost or the brand), they say I should have the bag delivered to them so they can take it to “their assessor” to decide whether to replace or repair it.
By the way, the bag is so badly damaged that it can't be fixed.
I fly… A lot.
I have already boarded over 40 flights this year. Last year, I travelled to over 20 countries.
I live in airports & airlines.
I regularly have unpleasant experiences on commercial flights.
I am not a sissy. I don’t complain. You take the good with the bad.
But I can tell you this for free: this KQ experience was horrendous.
It would have been more pleasant to pour Tabasco sauce into my naked eye & then blindly stir into a lunar eclipse.
Anyway, back to your regular scheduled program.

Not a single one of these politicians is willing to subject themselves to Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) or Social Health Authority (SHA); instead, they remain ensconced in elite, taxpayer-funded healthcare that is far beyond the reach of ordinary Kenyans. The lives disrupted and in some cases lost during the reckless transition from National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) cannot be undone, yet these same leaders persist in insulting the public’s intelligence with rehearsed talking points and gaslighting.

A ct scan is a basic requirement for patient's - stop acting like you're doing them a favour
