If Day 1 was about finding our feet, Day 2 at Kesla was about finding our "𝗪𝗵𝘆 and strengthening our"𝗛𝗼𝘄." We didn't just discuss community work, we dissected it layer by layer.
Our team members spent the morning in a deep-dive exercise focused on Dealing with Communities. Using a "𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘃𝘀. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲" lens, we looked at the real-world barriers our communities face limitations, mindsets, and apprehensions. But at MANJARI FOUNDATION, we aren't just observers, we are catalysts. Our goal is to shift that needle toward a future where every community is Empowered, Resilient, Self-Reliant, and Inclusive.
The room got filled with energy as we welcomed Dr. Virendra Singh, a renowned expert on Gender Rights. Through a powerful, data-backed session, Dr. Singh stripped away the surface to show us the numerical reality of gender inequality in India. It was a stark reminder that while we have come far, equality is still a distant dream for many. It wasn't just a lecture, it was a call to action to integrate gender-intentionality into everything we do.
To balance the weight of these deep reflections, we leaned into Collaboration vs. Co-operation. We realized that while co-operation is temporary support, collaboration is the magic that happens when people who are "completely different" work toward one singular goal.
We wrapped up the day in our dancing shoes. From soulful shayris to high-energy dance and singing, the cultural night proved that the Manjari family is as talented on the stage as they are in the field. 🥳✨
