@ScotRail It was the 7:55 service from Neilston to Glasgow Central. Passengers that could get onto the train were packed in like cattle, while many were left standing on the platform.

@nasalter Hi, we do maintain our trains to a high standard, however, as with anything mechanical they can develop faults and require some occasional TLC. Our engineers are working hard to get the fleet back to full strength ASAP. Which specific service was it Neil? ^Paul

@ScotRail “faults will still happen from time to time”. That’s the third rush hour cancellation this week, two of which were successive trains, leaving hundreds of passengers unable to get to work. All due to train faults.

@nasalter Hi there, really sorry about that. We're still maintaining our trains as we always did, but train faults will still happen from time to time. I'm unsure what this specific fault is but some faults can take a number of days to fix before we can get that train into service^DB

The #SGI IRIS Indigo is the machine that I first used #OpenGL on back in the early 90's. At the time it's performance was so far ahead of than anything else that I had worked on it was almost unearthly. I'm sure lots of engineers around the world will have fond recollections.
