I am watching The Gilded Age and enjoying it thoroughly.
Except...as a costume wonk, there is one thing that bugs the shit out of me. Louisa Jacobson Gummer does a fine job with her character, but she's a model, a *modern* model, and she looks like one. Someone with her skinny..

...build and narrow hips would be struggling with her figure in that era, especially someone of her social standing. She would be seriously investing in padded undergarments.
