After nearly a year of building, CertForge just hit staging 🚀 Platforms built to scale don’t happen overnight — they’re engineered. I’ve been building this the same way I build systems in my day job: stable, secure, and genuinely user-first. Back in December I used the janky alpha to study for my AWS DVA… and scored the exact same on the real exam as I did on my practice run. Fluke? Maybe. Validation? Definitely. Beta is getting very close now.🔥 Anyone else grinding certs right now?

There is no role or tier system. Currently the app is in beta and everyone gets what will be the “pro” tier for free to test out all the features. The image is showing the onboarding flow of people signing up, activating the beta code sent to them, and actually taking an action after activation.

@nashtdean i'm really curious about the 4-tier role system you implemented - what specific privileges and responsibilities does each tier have, and how did you decide on the different levels? in my experience, getting the role hierarchy right has made or broken many ops teams in the past.

“We got 1,000 signups” Cool — how many actually used it? CertForge (first 42 hours): → 50 users → 39% activated → 37% engaged Vanity metrics don’t build products. Behavior does. #buildinpublic

Is this community cross platform like threads, reddit, bluesky? X algo is straight up bullshit. Paying for premium doesn't change anything. I have to manually open build in public and scroll for recent posts. None of my followings or followers posts show in feed. Just plain old big pages reposting slop from instagram

Within the past hour, I’ve had 8 users sign up for my beta that I’m launching tomorrow. Thats already 50% the number I was able to get in a week grinding away with cold reach and social media. The secret sauce — one Reddit post. Tomorrow is the beginning of my start up journey!

Late night push before launch. Finishing up a few last things before CertForge goes live Tuesday. Funny how the last 10% always takes the most time. Almost there.

Just got my first 4 users sign up in first 24 hours after announcing my beta is going live April 28th. Crazy how good this feeling is when you work on building something for a year and people actually start to show up when you are about to release it! #certforge #buildinpublic

How long have you worked on your startup? I know its counterintuitive in this day and age -- launch products fast, fail fast, rinse, repeat. But I've been quietly building something for the past year… I'm Launching it next Tuesday. This is my first product launch -- putting all my eggs into one basket. This started because I was studying for a cert for my 9-5 and got tired of: 👉 seeing the same questions 👉 memorizing instead of actually learning This led me to build CertForge — it adapts to what you don’t know and never runs out of practice. Beta opens April 28 🚀 #buildinpublic
