We don't know much about bee parasitism. Paulo explored this uncharted world in his thesis. In his 1st PhD article (my 1st as last 🥲). We investigate expression differences between host & parasite during reproduction. Teaser: TEs might be involved!

We have recently uploaded on NCBI a high quality stingless bee reference genome. Besides describing this assembly, in the preprint we compare it with other corbiculate, showing syntenies, gene changes, and exploring the evolution of venom genes.
