New lottery/anti-tanking plan that has emerged, pre sources:
- 16 teams in what is called a 3-2-1 format
- Bottom 3 teams will get 2 lottery balls and 5.4% odds of winning
- Teams 4-10 get 3 lottery balls and 8.1% chance of winning.
- Would take effect 2027, run through 2029

Idea worth considering. As we advocated in yesterday's column, if you are not going to tank and if you can't trade for a superstar and if you can't draft a superstar in the teens, I would gamble on as many supremely talented distressed assets as I could.

@Anthony_Chiang i believe the play before gardner pushed pippen started it - it looked like gardner was shoved by pippen when gardner was going for a rebound. that is why gardner was late in coming back and pippen was free for that three. 😊
