Let me answer it this way: Nung last year ko sa college, requirement ng thesis ko sa sociology na mag field research sa isang napakalayo at liblib na baryo sa Cagayan. Ang topic ko ay kung ano ang impact ng Basic Christian Community sa buhay ng mga fisherfolk community doon. At that time, malakas ang NPA sa Cagayan. Pero dahil nandun ang BCC project na subject ng aking research, doon ako pumunta. Kung nagre-research ka tungkol sa landlessness, sa poverty, sa kalagayan ng mga nasa laylayan, most probably doon ka talaga mapapadpad sa mga lugar na may NPA. Kasi kadalasan, ang nagrerebelde ay yung mga mahihirap at inaapi.
