Those who still wouldn't see a dentist even if there was a practice down the road taking on patients. Without functioning practices, the backbone of NHS dentistry is broken...

Some of us predicted this crisis in 2005 when the contract was mooted but our concerns were ignored.

🦷 It was a pleasure to speak with @natalieben and @AdrianRamsay in Westminster earlier this week about the local and national dental crisis and how mobile dental clinics can be used to reach coastal and rural communities cut adrift from accessible basic oral healthcare, let alone emergency treatments. And, to properly address the issues of dental deserts affecting millions of patients, a fundamental overhaul of the NHS dental contract and funding regime is imperative. #nhsdentist #dentalcrisis #nhsdentistry
