That's a terrible technical called on Jamie Dixon. The ref was standing right in front of him, he's entitled to have his say, especially when he's obviously right. Not only was it goaltending, but usually the refs make the call so they can review it, and they didn't.

@j_porter14 @JMannsTakes Can you sustain it against quality teams? I think at some point against top 25 teams, Duke has to find some transition buckets if they are winning a national championships. Foul trouble complicates the above also!

@j_porter14 @JMannsTakes They have lost two games, both of which they probably should have won. Can’t argue that. Playing slow forces you to do two things: 1) Be efficient on offense—can’t have 4 to 5 minute droughts in either/both halves. Not enough possessions 2) Be great defensively. Both checks ✅

@JMannsTakes Scheyer wants Boozer and Evan’s taking the lions share of the shots and maybe that’s a good thing for this Duke team. Boozer is the best option and it’s not close. I think they should push pace more. All 4 other starters are more athletic than Boozer. But it’s a 2 loss team so

@JMannsTakes UNC fan here and I don’t love the play bc it’s ISO with four guys standing watching but it’s what Scheyer wanted. Boozer missed an easy one for sure. I think Duke teams are always better when they play fast. For some reason (turnover propensity and shots) he wants to play slow!

Folks who know officiating better than I do, isn't this legal? Bidunga functionally takes a two handed dribble while he is jumping. Isn't that legal?

Jon Scheyer clarifies his comments after UNC court storm: “One of our guys got hit in the face, got trampled, looked like he got in a brawl…he’s doing better. He’s fine.” Said after the game he saw staffer in the locker room with a bloody lip. That prompted what he said after.

And you bring up the charges… like it’s press charges or didn’t happen…girl decided against that route.

Someone should get this DA access to WiFi. Scheyer said today he saw the staffer with a bloody lip and assumed he got punched. Found out later that he got hit with a water bottle. If that distinction is what you're focusing on, you're focusing on the wrong thing.

Jeff Nieman, the DA for Orange (Chapel Hill) & Chatham Counties, posted on Facebook today asking for evidence of assault on Duke staff members following allegations of multiple assaults/punches from the head coach. Nieman said they would charge and prosecute the offenders.

@ElbosFromDuke @LeeenaBellle87 Said it three time now. If true, he shouldn’t be on the team. Not sure how that’s defending anyone. Much like I said if someone punched Duke staffer in the face charges should be filed. Doesn’t change the fact that DUI is a crime or that there is zero evidence of Scheyers claim!

My thoughts on “punchgate:”
1/3 things are true:
1) Staffer was attacked
2) Staffer exaggerated attack to Scheyer, who then is angered and amplifies that
3) Scheyer knowingly lied on the press conference.
If it’s 3 (it’s not btw) yeah, that’s lame! But of course, it’s 1 or 2
