Won’t happen, but i’d be so invested in the national team if it was Ange. He’d have them work like dogs and would always get the team to have a go no matter who it is, would also just properly unite the nation like he done with us when he came through the doors at Celtic Park.

Has it went a wee bit un-noticed that in the end we'd have needed either 4 points or a +3 goal difference to qualify? There's an extent of irony that most of us would've been content with a 1-0 defeat to Brazil being enough to scrape through. Not even close.

A “0-0 win” is one of football’s greatest bits and if you can’t appreciate that, you’ve never been lucky enough to experience one or simply do not get the beautiful game.

My only world cup thoughts. In order. Our group draw was awful. Top teams would have struggled. Our match and team psychology were all wrong. Scotland *can* score if aggressive. Smaller South American teams play cheeky, with limited options, all the time. All I saw was fear, nervousness, and clumsiness. The players looked to have no self-belief. Our performance meant we did not deserve to progress, anyway. Clarke's delight at gleaning 1 goal against Haiti seemed very naive given the likely 3rd spot and importance of goals, with 2 very tough matches in front of us. And finally, while we should not have *had* to rely on the results in other matches - which statistically favoured our progress, initially - almost every result went the other way. Some freakishly so. We couldn't even rely on luck and balanced odds. One to forget. And a fan story to remember. Big questions need to be asked of our team psychology, cleverness, and bravery.

So in the end we’d have had to beat Haiti 7-0 to have gone through with 3 pts. The “analysts” were wrong - only one team, Senegal, did it. We needed something against Morocco or Brazil. We needed one of those penalties, or Grant Hanley to have stayed awake.

Will get shot down for saying it but 3 points and a 0 or better GD was always a hard ask in our group. Only 2 teams going through with 3 points and none with a negative GD.

Steve Clarke got us to 3 major tournaments including our first World Cup in 30 years, he deserves a massive thanks for that. But...the problem was once we got to the major tournaments the handbrake was left on and we were brutal, dull, boring. Grant Hanley. Bye Steve 👋

Really mixed feelings on this, our three appearances at tournaments under Clarke have been diabolical, but before he took charge I genuinely didn't think I'd ever see us at another tourney, under him I felt like we could qualify for all of them, he'll be a very hard act to follow

While a fresh chapter for Scotland is most certainly needed at this point. Serbia, Spain, Norway, Denmark. Moments that will never be forgotten. All the best, Steve 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Not nice to be pushed out of a place you want to be, isn’t it?

Manor Solomon has REVEALED the treatment he got from Thomas Frank and Daniel Levy which led him to want to LEAVE #thfc. 🤦‍♂️😳 🎙️ “At the end of the season I wanted to be at Tottenham or Leeds. The chairman talked about me, the price was high. We had a conversation with Tottenham before arriving for training, they said they wanted me to stay and the coach likes me and after six training sessions I got injured.” Leeds’ interest decreased at this point, and when Manor Solomon returned from injury, he spoke to Frank - who still told him he wanted him to stay - as he had a new offer from Crystal Palace. 🦅 ‌ "We had already left everything in London and the next day I flew to the national team. I landed and got a call from [my agent]. He was nervous and said that they had the possibility of signing a French striker, Daniel Levy spoke to him and they need to clear a player on the squad and it was probably me. Solomon decided he wanted to LEAVE, and Palace tried to agree a deal, but “there was probably bad blood there and the deal fell through in the last few hours.” “I was done from that day on. The transfer window is over, I didn't want to stay at Tottenham. I was offended by them. When you feel like you're being pushed out, you don't want to stay in a place like this @AlasdairGold

Cape Verde that has the same population as Edinburgh sealed a last 32 spot which kills the ‘small population’ argument Haiti scored more goals than us Jordan had more attempts on target than us AND there are still morons in the media defending Steve Clarke
