There's this weird thing going on where it's become trendy on the right to assert that the only relevant experience for political decision making is having run a business.
I find it odd that someone can think there's no merit in acquiring skills, knowledge and competence at working in policy and politics before becoming an MP.
Or that different people can't bring valid broader life experience/perspectives to the offices they hold. Very blinkered!

Today @ofgem announced the next energy price cap.
We've already acted – cutting the price cap by £117 from April, expanding the Warm Home Discount to 6m households & freezing fuel duty.

@SamJRushworth @RachelReevesMP What protections are in place for when this goes live, the price goes up to eat some of the saving as profit and people don’t get the full benefit of it, then the price jumps again when the scheme runs out. It happens every time. (See eat out to help out)

I don't understand why there isn't a bigger push to sue these companies that use AI to steal others' work. It's the biggest IP theft in history, yet they get away with it. It's absolutely insane that they just get away with it.

Hi Michael. Did you or did you not vote last night to keep crushing Carbon Taxes on British refineries? We are down to four refineries and they are spending more on the Government’s Carbon Tax than their wage bill. I imagine they have been banging on your door to tell you this. Are you even listening? No, you would rather import jet fuel from Indian refineries, using Putin’s oil, with twice the emissions, than back British production. You keep wanging on about our oil being sold abroad, the vast majority is refined here or in Europe, without it both us and our allies are more dependent not less on dictators like Putin. This is obvious to everybody, but you.
